I recently watched a lecture by John Francis a man that didn’t speak for 17 years. And it just so happens that he swore off of cars and walked everywhere he went for even longer. As a result he got a PHd, wrote environmental regulations for the government and taught as a professor at a university – all while he was not speaking.

John inspired me to do something different with a class on Tuesday December 29th, 2009 (the last class of the year) night I will be teaching the class without speaking. Quite frankly I talk too much anyway and this is a sure fired way to avoid that… plus… I have been working this out for a while and I have a plan. Want to join me? I may learn as much as you do!
