Schedule:
4 week series — every Thursday, 7pm – 8:30pm
October 10-31, 2013
For All Levels! This series will build off your existing repertoire.
Description:
In this series we will examine the intricacies of dancing to the different orchestras. Each orchestra has it’s own character. Some orchestras are rhythmical (D’Arienzo), some are melodic (Fresedo) and some are a combination (Rodriguez). Then you have Pugliese…very dramatic. There are orchestras that designed their music purely for the social dancer and then others that developed for the stage and an audience. Argentine Tango is Argentine Tango because of the music. The music is important and vital to having a true Argentine Tango experience. Musicality and line of dance will be prime concepts. Come and discover how your dance evolves to the personality of each orchestra. We will ensure a lead/follow balance.
Goal: Using the flow of vals to create effortless and musical turns.
