This is great opportunity to take your first steps on your Argentine Tango journey or, if you are already dancing, to reinforce your tango foundation. This is a workshop designed to provide you with a background on Argentine Tango and to give you the beginnings of a solid foundation to have you moving on the dance floor with the music and your partner.

1:00 – 2:30pm The Tango Walk – It is Everything to tango! – Frame, posture, connection and positions. Tango walking, connection with yourself, with the floor and with your partner, tango movement technique. Tango beats and rhythms, tango is very dependable, we will show you the tango rhythm code.
2:30 – 3:00pm – Refreshments, Rest & Video or Practice – We will watch champion social dancers move in slow motion to satisfy your visual needs.
3:00 – 4:30pm Turns and Rock Steps – Building on what you learned in the first session, we will teach you to turn. Turning is easy when you have a trick or two. Turning in all directions and syncing them to the beats. The fine art of changing your mind!
4:30 – 5:00pm – Practice
Space is limited and a lead/follow balance will be maintained – please pre-register!
