Sacadas – 101 – Intro to Sacadas
Play with the opening step coming out of ocho cortado maintaining an opposition to each other until there is a window for the man to step inside of teh ladies path as she goes around him.
In order for sacadas to work both leaders and followers are moving in oposition to one another. Picture a spinning ball with thwo drops of lead on each side oposite onanother – it is this balancing oposition that allows us to move around eachother as we spin. If the drops got on one side of the spinning ball the ball would be come wobbley and this is exactly what happens when the dancers get out of place.
