The opening dance will be the same as below with up to a 2 hour milonga to follow.

October 9 1:pm

We will surprise Tucson Meet Yourself with a spontaneous tango flash mob dance.
The dance will either take place on the bridge between Presidio Park and the Village or in Presidio Park on hte clay brick by the tree wells. Stay tuned for exact location.
We will dance to La Cumparsita by D’Arienzo’s.

We will start with some advanced choreography with a few couples joining in (let us know if you are interested).

Then it will evolve into social dancing as 40 or more people begin to dance as they would at a milonga.

Then at one of the major phrase breaks we will all move together as a group through some basic choreography. It should look very cool to see the group moving in random and then move together for a couple of phrases and then back to social dancing.

I will post the choreography here this week. You can learn it from the video or your local instructor. It will be easy enough to access.

Any one that can dance some tango may join this event.

ATTENTION All Organizers and Teachers. We will be printing a newsletter to pass out to the observers that will have a list of all events and classes in Tucson. If you are teaching or organizing, contact Rusty or Jo for details to get in on the marketing.
